Fishing for the Future

The Coastal Conservation Association of North Carolina and Hook and Bones are partnering again for the 4th Annual Fishing for the Future Youth Tournament! This tournament will take place on Saturday, August 10th in conjunction with the Hook & Bones Redfish Open in Historic Swansboro. Youth anglers and will be divided into two divisions, 13 - 17 years old, and 12 and under. All kids registered before July 31st will get a swag bag containing sponsor and fishing gear.  Anyone registering after July 31st will receive any other extra promotional items we may have from our sponsors. All registered kids, with a parent or authorized adult, should be at the Check-in on Friday, August 9th, at the Saltwater Grill, 99 W. Church Street, Swansboro anytime between  5:00pm and 7:00pm. All participating youth anglers must check-in to receive their individual marker. The tournament will be an inshore catch and release only tournament. All youth anglers are welcome to fish from land, boat, or kayak. Prizes will be awarded for the longest redfish and flounder, and for the most fish caught, along with additional fun categories.
