The Coastal Conservation Association of North Carolina and Hook and Bones are partnering again for the 3rd Annual Fishing for the Future Youth Tournament! This FREE tournament will take place on Saturday, August 11th in conjunction with the Hook & Bones Redfish Open in Historic Swansboro. The fishing tournament is FREE to all youth anglers and will be divided into two divisions, 13 - 17 years old, and 12 and under. All kids registered before July 31st will get a bucket containing sponsor and fishing gear. Anyone registering after July 31st will receive any other extra promotional items we may have from our sponsors. Kids must register online, with an adult’s help, not later than July 31st. All registered kids, with a parent or authorized adult should be at the Captain's Meeting on Friday, August 10th, at the Saltwater Grill, 99 W. Church Street, Swansboro beginning at 5:00 pm. All participating youth anglers must attend the Captain's Meeting at 7:00 pm with a parent or adult. The tournament will be an inshore catch and release only tournament. All youth anglers are welcome to fish from land, boat, or kayak. Participants will be instructed on how to record their catch during the Captain's Meeting. Prizes will be awarded for the longest redfish and flounder, and for the most fish caught, along with additional fun categories.
